Your privacy is important to us. Digital Safe Vault ("the App") is a product of Sacinta ("Sacinta", "Sacinta Services", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and, more importantly, what it does not. The short version: Digital Safe Vault runs entirely on your own device and stores nothing on our servers — because we do not operate any servers that receive your vault data.
1. Overview
Digital Safe Vault is an offline, zero-knowledge password and secrets vault. Everything you enter is encrypted on your device before it is ever written to storage. We — Sacinta — never receive, transmit, host, process, or have access to your vault, your master password, or the keys that protect them. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no cloud service behind the App.
2. Information We Collect
We collect no personal information. The App does not include analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, telemetry, crash reporting, or any code that sends your information to us or to third parties. Specifically:
We do not collect your name, email address, or contact details.
We do not collect the passwords, notes, files, or any other content you store in your vault.
We do not collect your master password or encryption keys — they never leave your device.
We do not collect usage data, device identifiers, IP addresses, or browsing activity.
We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
3. How Your Data Is Stored
Your vault is stored only where you choose, on your own device. Depending on your browser and your selection, this is one of the following:
A local folder you choose — including a cloud-synced folder such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive if you point the App at one. In that case the encrypted files are synced by that provider under your account and their terms; Sacinta is not involved in and has no access to that sync.
Your browser's private on-device storage, when a folder cannot be chosen (for example on Firefox, Safari, or mobile browsers). This data stays in your browser profile on your device.
In every case the data is encrypted before it is stored, and you can create an encrypted backup at any time to keep or move a copy yourself.
4. How We Use Information
Because we do not collect any of your information, we do not use it — for any purpose. We do not analyse it, profile you, or share it. The App functions entirely on your device.
5. How We Disclose Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your information, because none of it reaches us. We have no data about you to disclose to marketers, business partners, or any other third party. If a cloud provider syncs your chosen folder, that relationship is directly between you and that provider.
6. Security
Digital Safe Vault is designed on a zero-knowledge basis:
Your vault is encrypted with AES-GCM 256-bit encryption, using a key derived from your master password and never stored in plaintext.
Encryption and decryption happen locally, in your browser. Your master password is never transmitted and is not recoverable by us.
Because only you hold the master password, only you can decrypt your vault.
When you create a profile, the App generates a recovery code. This code is a means of access to your data if you forget your master password — it is the only way back into your vault. It is your responsibility to save this recovery code securely and offline; we never see it and cannot regenerate it for you.
Please read this carefully: zero-knowledge encryption means that if you lose or forget your master password and do not have your recovery code, your vault cannot be recovered — by you, by us, or by anyone. There is no backdoor, no reset link, and no support process that can restore access. Keep your master password, your recovery code, and your encrypted backups safe.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You are in complete control of your data at all times:
Access & portability: your vault is yours; export an encrypted backup whenever you like and move it between devices.
Deletion: delete the vault files from your chosen folder, or clear the App's browser storage, to remove your data permanently. Since we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
No consent to withdraw: because we neither collect nor process your personal information, there is no data processing by Sacinta for you to opt out of.
8. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or to legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Because we have no way to contact you, we encourage you to review this page periodically. The current version is always the one published here.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Digital Safe Vault is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Sacinta Services shall not be responsible or liable for any loss of data, corruption, crash, malfunction, or any other outcome that in any way affects the user or the user's data arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App.
Because the App is fully encrypted and zero-knowledge, the user acknowledges and understands the inherent risks of using a completely encrypted digital vault — including that a forgotten master password combined with a lost recovery code, a lost or damaged device, a failed sync, or a missing backup may result in permanent and unrecoverable loss of access to the stored data.
The user accepts sole responsibility for safeguarding their master password, for saving their recovery code securely, and for maintaining their own backups.
By using Digital Safe Vault, the user agrees to and accepts these risks and this limitation of liability.
